We had twenty eight boats (56 anglers) compete in our first qualifier at Grand Lake this past weekend.
The fishermen were greeted with slightly below average temps, but unfortunately, average wind for June 😎.
When the smoke cleared, Kenny Turpin emerged as our Boater Champion. First time competitor Nathan Fideldy joined him as the Co Angler Champion. The pair also added daily big bass winnings to their weekends.
The Tournament crew would like to thank Nichols Marine for the use of the launch area, as well as our anglers. Due to Covid 19 protocols, we employed a drive through weigh in- breaking away from the normal “stand with a bag” system. Once we got in rhythm on Saturday, it went very quickly, and was a breeze on Sunday. Again, thanks to our anglers for their patience and courtesy!
Below are final results and our top finishers. These folks join our winners from Mr Bass on the 2021 State Team. The final members will qualify at Wilson in September.
